Gifted and Talented Scholarships - Due 2/26/2016

The Texas Association of Gifted and Talented offers students four scholarship options. Online applications are due February 26th. Applicants will be notified of their status by April 15th. For technical issues, application questions or to receive a Summer Scholarship application in spanish, please contact TAGT at 512-499-8248 or membership@txgifted.org

  • Summer Enrichment Scholarships
    • Up to $400 Awarded to identified gifted students in grades K-12 that want to enrich their learning experience in the summer months. Multiple available.
       
  • Laura Allard Future Vision Scholarship
    • Up to $2,500 awarded to a graduating GT high-school senior who has demonstrated academic achievement.
       
  • Adelle McClendon Young Leader Scholarship
    • Up to $2,500 awarded to a graduating GT high-school senior who has demonstrated outstanding leadership.
       
  • TAGT/SMI Scholarships
    • Attend the Summer Mathematics Institute (SMI), a 3-week residential program with an intense focus on mathematics. Sponsored by the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas.

Schools in Austin ISD are accepting nominations for gifted and talented services for students in grades K-12. Complete the GT Parent Nomination and GT Parent Survey and submit to your child's Campus GT Advocate. http://www.austinisd.org/academics/advancedacademics/gifted/parent-corner If your child attends a middle or high school that provided GT screening in the fall semester, they are not required to complete the process again this spring. Please check with your child's Campus GT Advocate.
