Friday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m.
Wildflower Church, 1314 E Oltorf St, Austin

How would you feel about eating deep fried locusts, ant egg salad, or barbecued tarantulas? With 40 tons of insects to every human, perhaps insects could offer a real solution to the global food crisis - where billions go hungry every day while the meat consumption of the rich draws vast amounts of grain out of the global food chain. After the film, Robert Nathan Allen of Little Herds will answer questions about the environmental and nutritional benefits of eating insects. Participants will also enjoy free samples of protein bars made out of cricket flour from Hopper Foods. Water and lemonade provided. FREE! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and film begins at 7:00 p.m. More information at First-Friday Film Series: Can Eating Insects Save the World?
