UT Seeks Middle School Students for Focus Group

The University of Texas at Austin Prevention Research Lab is looking for focus group participants for an Outdoor Media Study. The lab's research assistants are recruiting participants age 11 to 14 who are currently enrolled in middle school.

The purpose of the Outdoor Media Study is to discover what kids think about outdoor food and beverage promotion. The information collected in this study will be used to create programs to help students understand how advertising influences their behavior and programs to reduce youth obesity.

Participation in the study involves attending an hour-long focus group in Belmont Hall on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Youth participants will receive $20 and parents will receive $12 for parking and transportation.
